Let’s be honest: The result isn’t always great… Many people use another method – adding full-stops (or other symbols) to leave “fake” spaces between lines. if you add a full-stop at the end of a line and then press enter twice to leave a line before the next paragraph or sentence. Instagram lets you add one line between text under certain circumstances – i.e. AdvertisementsĮspecially if you’re the type of person who adds hashtags as part of your caption – and not in the first comment – the latter is handy to be able to do. Even if you don’t write long captions, you still might want to break your text into paragraphs with multiple lines between them or just leave a few lines between your caption and your group(s) of hashtags. If you plan on filling that space, you’ll need to break up your text into paragraphs. Instagram allows a caption to be 2,200 characters long, which is plenty to write a short blog post. We’ve built a free Instagram captions line breaks tool to help you easily format text to use in your Instagram or Facebook posts and bios – or even your Twitter bio.
